How this calculation works
Common interlocking needlepoint bars are sold in fixed lengths. When a canvas falls between stocked sizes, this tool selects the next smaller available length so the mesh can wrap slightly around the bar instead of being forced onto a frame that is too large.
What to verify before buying or cutting
Measure the entire canvas edge to edge. Confirm available lengths and profile compatibility with the exact bar maker; very large canvases may be easier on a scroll frame.
