About NeedlepointCalc

NeedlepointCalc was created to solve a frustrating problem: existing needlepoint thread calculators don't account for the things that actually matter — multiple colors, different stitch types, and real thread coverage data.

Every calculator publishes its assumptions and limitations. Thread results are planning estimates based on mesh, stitch path, ply count, and the published length of DMC six-strand floss. Because tension and coverage preferences vary, we recommend a stitched test square for large projects.
